Apollo Clone goes dark, announces new Ep- Am I a Psychopath;
Preview the first single Dead Dreams
(Atlanta, GA) November 22nd, 2019 - Chicago native alternative hip hop artist, Apollo Clone announces the debut of his new single “Dead Dreams." The self-proclaimed pioneer of the Anti-Rap genre will be crossing over to the dark side (or even darker side) with the premiere of the upcoming release in tandem with its cryptic Music Video shot in Senoia, Georgia’s “Land of the Walking Dead,” where AMC’s iconic zombie fest horror show is filmed. Available on all digital retail locations, the video will exclusively release on Apollo Clone’s Vevo channel on December 22nd. The single will be the initial track out from the upcoming ep Am I a Psychopath, which is set for delivery first quarter 2020. Produced by iconic sad rap beat maker Sarcastic Sounds.
Coming off underground success from the Pills Kill Genius concept album, Apollo Clone has been catapulted into bigger conversations and has wasted little time bringing us this new tearjerker. Dead Dreams, a microcosm of the emo-rap laced EP, showcases authenticity in its behind-the-scenes look at real world artists’ desperate struggle not to fall victims to the rat race statistics. We hear Apollo audaciously compare surrender to suicide as he ardently describes watching his peers one by one give up on themselves. The Music Video (DISCLAIMER: sensitive viewers may find disturbing) graphically showcases Apollo paying his respects for those who have gave it their all, despite coming up short.
Rising to the scene in 2018, Apollo Clone patented the philosophy he preaches through art- to Embrace the Outcast. He credits his sound as having been cultivated from lean years of falling victim to the belief that being different and not following the norm was a bad thing. Harvesting those insecurities and strange idiosyncrasies, he began to exploit them through music, overcoming feelings of persecution from friends, family, and the standard patterns of society. Am I a Psychopath brings vibes emanating a compelling, lo-fi, emotional portrayal infused with spacey alternative twists atop some live instrumentation. Apollo attributes his sound to the influences of Lil Peep, Kid Cudi, Linkin Park, & Twenty One Pilots.
